Should I Get Highlights for Summer?

Hi Ladies,

I'm thinking of getting highlights for the summer, but I want to get some feedback first. Here's a little back story: I like the color of my hair and don't really want the hassle of maintaining my highlights so this is going to be a one time summer fun thing.

I'm thinking about getting them just for a change, but I don't really feel like I need them or anything. Clearly I'm on the fence and not super crazy either way. This is why I want your advice/input!
