Have you tried Shellac nails yet?
I'm the type of girl that has to have a mani and pedi at all times. The problem is, my manicures hardly last, I always get chipped nails by day 3 or 4, if not sooner. Well I recently discovered my solution to this, Shellac nails!
Shellac is a hybrid of gel and polish and when they combine, it gives you one heck of a manicure. When you go to the salon, they first prep your nails like the basic manicure, file, buff and fix your cuticles. Then they apply the primer to your nails and add a base coat of Shellac and they cure under the UV light for a bit. Once this is set, they will add the color of your choice, I prefer the french tip. Then they go nails go back into the UV light. To finish off, they add a top coat and a few more minutes under the UV light and your set to go. These are supposed to last 14 days if not more. This is my third time getting Shellac nails and I am hooked. The price varies between $22-30, my french tip cost $28 without tip.
They damage your nails less than actual acrylics, and last longer than a regular manicure. These come off easily, simply soak them in acetone. Hello!! Can that get any better?
I got my nails done on the 9th, I'll post another picture up in 14 days so you can see the progress.
Tell me, have you ever tried Shellac? What was your experience?
Day 1 and Day 5, bet you can't tell the difference.
