The Urge to Slurge

The URGE TO SPLURGE

So its been at least a week since I bought my last hair product. (woot woot). The last products I added to my endless supply of beauty products is Bed Head's Dumb Blonde Reconstructor and Ego Boost. I love both products especially the Ego Boost which is new to me. But now I want to buy more products I love experimenting with products. So I need your help in finding the best products out there so I will find one type of product that I will stick with the rest of my life or at least till its discontinued; which has happened to a product that I loved and can't find anywhere anymore the bottle lasted me 3 years and now I can't even find it or remember the name :(.

So help me in finding a:

Good Leave in Conditioner

Split end Mender

Shine or Gloss Serum with Silicone

Deep Conditioner Treatment

and a Smoothing Treatment to make my curly mane straight while protecting it from heat damage.

Split end mender, deep conditioner:  Argan Oil Conditioner, $7.00 At ULTA.  I also take that same conditioner and put it on my dry hair at night and shampoo out in the am with Lavender shampoo.  Also to deep condition with this product, I wash my hair and put on the conditioner for 1 hour with a shower cap over the hair.  Really works. Glosser:  Ion Color Defense Protective Glossing Polish - really makes hair shiny without weighing it down. Leave in Conditioner - Revlon Dual Conditioner for Synthetic Hair - works for both normal and synthetic hair.  Got it at Sally's Beauty Supply.  Same place for the glosser. Carole VonAllten

My favorite leave in conditioner is Johnson & Johnson's Leave In Conditioner and detangler. My hair gets super tangled, and this stuff is great. My boyfriend totally makes fun of me for using it, but it's inexpensive, light, works well, detangles like a dream, and smells nice. I've tried expensive leave in conditioners/detanglers, but they didn't work half as well.

Infusium 23 is the BEST leave in conditioner, been around forever so no worry about it being discontinued( i know you're pain on that one) morrocon oil shine serumis awesome, Shea Mango Cholesterol by Lustrasilk for deep conditioning. All budget friendly. Smoothing treatment I couldn't help with as I'm avoiding heat(which I respectfully recomend you do as well at least in the summer). The treatments protect some but it's still heat, still manipulation.  Why stress/damage your hair with all that heat and maniputlation when more often than not the humidity will have it's way anyway. Curly up do's are the way to go IMO..Good luck

I'm not sure of your budget but my favorite leave in conditioner is probably Marco Pelusi's (you can buy it online). It has a nice light smell and is moisturizing without being too thick or weighing hair down. It makes it soft without feeling greasy. It's a little pricey but my bottle lasted more than a year and I used it about once a week.
