Darac Brow Trio
One of my beauty PR friends happily stuck one of these Darac Brow Trio wands into my hands over 6 months ago. I wasn't sure why, or what I could even use it for. I keep full brows, I don't over pluck, I can barely even tweeze my own brows and rely on the solid hands of my professional makeup artist & hairstylist friend "B" to maintain my brows. I still took my chances, and tried to incorporate it into my makeup routine, anyway.
On one side of the Darac Brow Trio you've got a narrow brow pencil. I promptly turned this into an eyeliner for my lower lip. It's a thin pencil with a unique shape, so if you're going to draw into your brows, I can imagine that this is going to work great for you. It was a little hard to use this way, so I ran it over a match to ease the texture, and was finally able to use it as a liner with ease. On the other end is the brow brush, but it looked like a mascara wand, so that's how I used it. I turned this handy feature into a lash brush, and flicked through my lashes after several coats of mascara and it worked a treat! No more clumps. In the middle sits a soft, spongy applicator filled with shimmery "eye brightening powder," or highlighter, if you will. In my humble opinion, this is definitely the star of the show. In fact, if I could, I most certainly would purchase a wand of this highlighter on its own. Its got great shimmer, staying power and the applicator is a great shape. I'd avoided such "highlighter" products, because I can't be bothered to fuss around with blush brushes to achieve the look.
At first I just used this highlighter wand on the arches under my brows, and I could immediately see the "botox effect" that their website touts. It lifted, lightened, and glammed up my makeup in an instant. I did feel as if the glow gave me more of a youthful look. Then I got slick and started to use it as a contouring tool for my nose. I just added a few dots along the bridge of my nose, blended, and voilà! A longer nose for me! When my fabulous friend B. came to visit, I showed him my new magic wand. I told him how I was using it and he quickly set out to teach me a new trick. I was to follow the outer corner of my eye, straight down to the top of my cheekbone. Once there, I was instructed to highlight the tops of my cheekbones, right above my already applied blusher. After I did the first cheekbone, I compared it to the other. This was a more polished look, made me glow, and chiseled & enhanced my facial structure in ways I'd not thought possible.
When my first wand had finished, I immediately set out to purchase another. I do believe that I always have this in my kit, and sincerely hope that Darac makes a wand like this exclusively for the highlighting feature that I adore. So there you have it.... More reasons to own the Darac Brow Trio!
On another note, welcome to my new blog! I have kept a personal blog that has spanned over the course of 12 years. I am a pre-blogger, in fact, blogging long before we ever called them blogs. Beauty is a passion of mine, something I love to talk about with my friends, I read tons of beauty blogs, and I also have a career in the beauty industry. I felt it was high time that I join all of these things as one and create a beauty blog. Wish me luck as I find my voice and style as a beauty blogger.
