Total Beauty Community Blogs - Meeting Josie Maran At Sephora's Grand Opening

Finally -- it was what I'd been waiting for all year (both as a consumer and beauty editor). Sephora had its grand opening at the Americana at Brand on Friday, and I was invited to cover the event.

When I arrived, the line was out the door and pretty much wrapped around the entire block. They told me that the first people in line had been waiting since 2 am (seriously?).

But as soon as I walked into the store, I saw why it was such a big deal.

Not only is the store in a prime location, the interior is gorgeous. It's spacious, trendy and stocked with the newest beauty products. Former model Josie Maran was walking around greeting customers and promoting the Josie Maran Cosmetics line (her argan oil stick is one of my current faves, it's amazing!).

I got the chance to meet Josie (SO super sweet) and chat with her about her makeup obsessions and secret beauty tips. It was so hard to leave the store, I couldn't pry myself away from all of the activity going on inside! (Is anyone else as obsessed with Sephora as I am?)
