Total Beauty Community Blogs - NOTD: Nicole by OPI "Too Rich For You"

This polish is from the Fall 2010 limited edition Gossip Girl collection that was launched by Nicole by OPI. There were four shades in the collection, and today I have "Too Rich For You."

Too Rich For You is a really interesting colour that takes on different tones in the light, but for the most part is a dark shimmery blue with hints of teal. I wasn't really sure if I liked this colour in the bottle, but after wearing for a while I really like it. In some light it looks navy blue with no shimmer, but in brighter light you get more of the teal shimmer and even a hint of green. The shimmer in this isn't super obvious, it is more like it is glowing from within.

This polish applied wonderfully in two easy coats. Many shades like this tend to be streaky or need multiple coats to get to full opacity, but not this baby. Wear has been amazing too, I have been wearing this for three or four days, and did some seriously not nail friendly work today and I have no chips and just the slightest (teensy weensy) bit of wear along the tip of my nail. This is my first time using a Nicole by OPI polish, but if they all apply and wear as well as this one has I will definitely pick up a few more shades. I had been hesitant to try them in the past because they all look so shimmery in the bottle, and I tend to go more for creme finishes, but this shade has totally changed my mind.
