What Should I Have in my Make-Up Bag?!
Hey this is aly7!Imagine the following scenario:
"You are just starting to wear make up, and you want one of everything useful. You take your birthday money to the nearest store and search the make up aisles. Everthing looks confusing. Concealer? Foundation? Eye Shadow? Eyeliner? Mascara? Bronzer? Blush? Lipstain? Brushes? Lipliner? Lipstick? Gloss? You are completely lost. You are not at a department store, so you cant ask the make up saleswoman... you are just at the local Target or Walmart. What do you need to just make a nice, starter bag? You pick up a cute medium sized make up bag that is on sale and wander the aisles. What brand is good? Eyeslipsface? Maybelline New York? Revlon? Rimmel London? L'oreal Paris? Hard Candy? Covergirl? Almay? Your mom does not wear make up, so you are lost.....completely. "

Good post. I'd add Ecotools brushes, Wet 'n' Wild blushes and bronzers and L'Oreal Voluminous mascara to the list.

cool, the only thing i ever disliked from NYC is the duo eye pencils, i got one in through the storm and it was waaayyyy to waxy. target and k mart carry some e.l.f. products. for the whole line you can get them at www.eyeslipsface.com

Great list! What stores carry ELF by the way?... I have never tried it. NYC is another company that makes great, high quality starter products at a low cost. Their shadows are under $5.00 and as a MAC junkie, I can honestly say that their shadows, lipsticks and glosses could almost pass for MAC if it weren't for the packaging. Ulta carries their line and I believe Target does as well.

This a great list. Definitely lots to choose from. I think my first makeup kit consisted of mascara, a lash curler, eye shadow, blush. lip gloss and concealer. I've since expanded my arsenal but those are definitely my basics.
