Sephora Mattifying Powder - Review
I'm always looking for the latest and the greatest to fit my beauty needs.I have extremely oily skin (I'm talking oil slick oily folks...no lie) so I'm always searching for that mattifying foundation or powder that keeps me matte all day.Trouble is the oil in my face is so heavy it simply breaks down most foundations and facial powders to a creamy mess. Now if you have dry skin you most definitely wont understand my feat but I'm sure my oily sisters out there are waving your hands in agreement.
Enter...Sephora's very own brand of Mattifying Pressed Powder (in warm
mocha to go with my rich mocha skin). And at $6-$7 (reg. $14) it was almost certainly a steal.
The formula is nice and smooth and went on like powdered silk. Sephora describes it as "finely milled talc/corn starch ...that contains
jojoba and fruit", and I dare not question this formula at all. Not only did it make my skin look soft but it was most definitely a mattifier.
Unlike most mattifying products it doesn't leave your skin ashen or super dry looking either but it gives you that perfect corn starched smooth face.
Oh I apologize I forgot to mention that it's staying power is definitely a 8 out of 10. I didn't have to do any touch-ups throughout the day which was really great. Plus my skin loved it too. Piling the product on is definitely not good for my pores.
Note:
When picking out your color make sure you know your undertones. Sticking
with their french backdrop Sephora uses the "R" - Rosee' (pink) for cool
undertones, and the "D" for Doree' (gold) for those warm, golden undertones.
Check it out and tell me what you're using if you have oily skin...or not!

I liked this product, and found that it was somewhat mattifying, but not enough for my super oily skin.
