Cocoa Butter Hair Mask
Yesterday I created my first cocoa butter based hair mask! I used a nice chunk of raw cocoa butter, 5 drops lavender oil and 5 drops of tea tree oil. I heated some water on the stove and stuck the cocoa butter in a pyrex dish. I submerged the dish in the pot of water on the stove on very low heat just to melt down the butter [it is very thick and hard to work with when not liquified]. Be careful not to get any of the water in your butter if you try this. After the cocoa is liquid take it off the stove and add in your essential oils. Stir it up and slather it all over your hair, paying close attention to your ends. Then put on a bath cap and go about the rest of your day. I do not suggest doing this on a "busy" day because the longer you keep the mask in your hair the better. I kept mine on all night! When I woke up today I shampooed my hair and it feels AMAZING. The smell is so delicious it really makes me want some chocolate!
