2 very light coats to opaque. This takes about 15-20 minutes to dry completely, though it's pretty dry to the touch after about 3 minutes or so. Milani

In person this is an interesting color, red with some pink in it. It comes across a bit in the picture, but to appreciate this you really need to apply it. Milani Cosmetics
